The Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society is excited to be one of the recipients of a new animal transportation van awarded by the Atlanta Humane Society. SOAPS is one of eight organizations in the state of Georgia gifted a new van through The Stanton Foundation’s Canine Transportation Van Grant Program. The 2024 Ford Transit 250 van, complete with rear heating and cooling systems and adorned with custom designs and logos, was picked up on May 31st. The grant program focuses on supplying vans to animal shelters and rescue/foster groups with canine transportation initiatives, recognizing that safe, comfortable, and cost-effective transportation significantly enhances shelters’ and rescue groups’ capacity to save canine lives and help more dogs find their forever homes.
