Therisa is the CEO for The Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society. S.O.A.P.S. is a non-profit organization that promotes animal welfare through education, care, and the placement of stray or unwanted animals. Therisa. has volunteered with S.O.A.P.S. for over 30 years. She has worked hard in transforming S.O.A.P.S. into a well-known organization all over the state of Georgia and beyond. She assisted in the development of a low-cost sterilization program aimed at reducing the number of unwanted animals in our area. Mrs. I. takes care of 25 foster animals in kennels that are located in her backyard. It doesnt matter whether its cold, hot, raining or snowing, she continues to love, feed, water, and care for these animals every day.Honestly, there are not enough hours in a day to keep up with Therisa. She has been married to Dennis I. for 43 years, and raised two boys. She also works for the Jeff Davis School System as a school psychologist. The Sweet Onion Animal Protection is so grateful for her life long commitment to helping animals and her community.
